Photographs  Members of each party show their spirit during the state rallies.  The gym became the County Board of Elections where the cities, making up each county, came to vote for their choice of candidates at the primary election.  Citizens of BGS check-in with election officials before taking part in their patriotic duty and right to vote for their 2007 representatives.  Here we see a citizen casting her ballot. The Ashland County Board of Elections donated their outdated voting booths to Girls State to lend reality to the delegates.  BGS State Troopers and Ohio Highway Patrol State Troopers pose after the helicopter demonstration. The BGS Troopers were given the opportunity to learn more about and explore the helicopter.  Potential candidates for the General Election await their turn to speak about issues developed by members of the Federalist and Nationalist Party during the Debate and Party Demonstration.  Within hours of the Primary Election, ballots have been counted and remade for the General Election. Citizens return to the polls to cast their vote for their favorite candidates.  The General Election runs smoothly. The results for the top seven offices within the state of Buckeye Girls State will be announced at the City Celebration as soon as the votes have been tallied.  As part of the City Celebration, members of the Buckeye Girls State Chorus first perform as a unit.  Inspirational speaker Sabrina Coleman-Clark came to Girls State to talk to the Delegates about the many inspirational women that have inspired our nation.  At the end of the program, the election results are given for the top elected officials. The BGS Governor's name was announced and she makes her way to the stage.  Every day an ideal city is selected. The custom is for the previous day's winner to pass the trophy to that day's city.
