Citizens of Miller County arrive for the flag ceremony on Monday.



The Ohio State Highway Patrol raises the flag while delegates salute Old Glory.



Bill Davisson from the Ashland City Fire Department speaks to BGS delegates on fire safety and requirements to become a city fire chief. The delegates had the opportunity to take the civil service exam.



Matt Miller, Ashland County Commissioner, addresses the delegates regarding party politics and campaign strategy.



Marty Nowell, Director of Administration for the Secretary of State’s Office, speaks to the delegates that are interested in some of the state offices.



Dr. Peter Schramm, Professor of Political Science at AU, takes the opportunity to tell the delegates about the seminar being offered to them this week. The course is "Principles and Practices of Freedom in American Politics."



Jennifer Schlosser, special assistant for communication at Governor Taft’s office, spoke to the delegates on the offices of Governor, Lt. Governor, and Cabinet. Much discussion took place at this workshop.



Passing the bar exam is a must in order to become a judge, an attorney, or a city law director. The civil service exam for being a firefighter or state patrolman is also offered.



At the Federalist Party County Caucus, tallying is done to determine who the endorsed candidates will be.



At the Reese County Caucus for the Nationalist Party, the county party chairman goes over the procedures to endorse candidates.
